Zoon's head was still pounding but at last her eyelids opened. She realized that she was lying on her bed. Albeit all memories of last night were vague.

As she tried to recall last night's event , suddenly, her memories popped into her mind and then she was scared that she might have gone crazy.

She had to inform her psychiatrist about this but before that, Zoon had to go to university where she was recently recruited to conduct her PhD research.

After dressing up, Zoon headed towards bus stop to catch the bus which could directly drop her at the university but suddenly everything around her grew dark. Darkness blocked Sun's bright light until it shrouded her surroundings.

Zoon frantically looked around and found herself in a secluded dark place. She couldn't see anything but she heard screams of little children and women, begging to spare their lives.

She tried to run away but it was useless.

" Zooni, did you hear that? Did you recognize those cries? Of course
you did. After all, you are a smart woman."

It was Daniel's voice.

" Who are you? Listen to me, I am not scared of you.", she shouted.

" I know... Zooni. I know....", Daniel.

Before she could say anything, Zoon was transported back to the bus stop.

She frantically looked around but
didn't find anything unusual.

  She took deep breaths like her psychiatrist  suggested and got on the bus.

After  sometime, her phone rang.

" Hello...", she said.

" Hello, can I speak to Miss Zoon?", the woman said.

" Yeah, it is me. Who are you?", Zoon said.

" Hello, ma'am... I am calling from police station...", the woman.

" Is this regarding Daniel's case?", Zoon.

" Yes..." as soon as woman replied Zoon hung up without saying anything to her.

She was scared. She wondered if they found anything against her.

AT 2. P.M:

Zoon had to wait for an hour in the police station before a senior officer finally asked her to go inside secluded room with no windows and one light bulb.

On top of that, she was nervous. It was difficult for her to wait in that dark room without feeling anxious.

After a while, lady officer entered to question her who looked strong; her brown hair was tied firmly in a bun and her black uniform looked prim and proper.

" Hello, how are you, Miss Zoon?", the officer said while smiling lightly.

" I am good. Why did you summon me here? ", Zoon asked.

" We know that you are scared since you are the one who gave us information regarding your father's conspiracy.

As we already said you don't have to worry no one will know about that...

We only want to know how did you acquire this information? ", the officer.

" Why? I told you that I don't want to get involved in this.

I already told you, I had no idea what my father was planning.
I do not take part in any of his political endeavours.", Zoon explained.

" We know, but Miss Zoon you have to understand that our country is in grave danger. Please co-operate." the officer.

In the end, Zoon gave up and told her  about that day after which her  life changed for worse.

13TH OF JUNE ( ONE MONTH EARLIER):

It was raining heavily because of which Zoon had  decided to stay at her apartment and
enjoy a cup of warm coffee ( alone without any interruption) when Daniel came, knocking at her door.

Zoon got up and opened the door. She was surprised when she saw him...

Daniel was soaking wet. Rain was dripping from his hair, his blue t- shirt looked black because of all rain water which it had absorbed.

His skin was glistening because of water droplets and as usual he greeted Zoon with his cheeky  smile.

" What are you doing here?", she asked Daniel.

" I just missed you. Can I come in?", Daniel as he folded his arms.

" No, go away I want to be alone.", she said.

" Zooni, you are always alone. I want to spend some time with you.", Daniel.

" Don't call me Zooni. My name is Zoon...", she sneered.

" Ok, Miss Zoon. Can I come inside? Its raining cats and dog. ", Daniel eagerly.

" You are an idiot. Why did you come here in this rainstorm....?!    ", Zoon.

" Just let me in. You can scold me inside the apartment.", Daniel pleaded.

After contemplating for a while, she
said, " Ok but only for fifteen minutes."

" 30 minutes.", Daniel.

" 10 minutes", Zoon.

" 25 ...", Daniel.

" 5 minutes.", Zoon.

" 20 minutes. ", Daniel.

" Go away.", Zoon.

" I will.... But  there are some important things that I want to talk about.", Daniel in a serious tone.

At last, she allowed him to come inside after releasing a long sigh.

" Thank you.", Daniel said as Zoon handled him her grey towel.

" Tell me what happened?", Zoon.

" Could I get some coffee? I feel cold.", Daniel while  trying to dry his hair with towel.

" Daniel, I swear if there is
nothing----", Zoon.

" Please...", Daniel interrupted her.

" Fine, I will bring you some coffee but promise me you will go away after that...", Zoon said after making a sour face.

" Can't promise that...", Daniel answered with a smile.

AFTER SOMETIME:

Zoon brought him black coffee with some cookies.

" You know exactly what I like, don't you?", Daniel smiled.

" Stop irritating me and tell me what happened.", Zoon.

" Ok, but don't fret.... ", Daniel.

Daniel told her how Gabe was planning to murder the present Prime Minister, Jalal.

Jalal was the head of Gabe's own party but he wanted to kill him to fulfill his greedy ambitions but that was not all. He wanted Daniel to do that for him...

" He wants you to murder him?! ", Zoon.

" Yeah, I don't know why he wants me to do such a thing.", Daniel.

" So, are you going to do it?", Zoom asked.

" I don't know; I am confused. That is why I came here...

Here is the Pen drive which he gave me to help me assassin Gabe.", Daniel as he took red Pen drive out of his pocket.

" Why are you giving me this?", Zoon.

" Because I trust you Zoon. I trust that you will make right decision", Zoon.

Zoon knew her father.

She knew her father was trying to use Daniel to gain more power.

Daniel was not an idiot. Although he didn't know her father's true colors;  he had grown suspicious of Gabe recently.

Soon after he left, Zoon informed police about the plan and gave them pen drive as evidence.

But contrary to her expectations, things soon turned violent. People protested against illegal migrant.

They were ruthlessly killed, kidnapped and their houses were burnt.

It was suspected that illegal immigrants were trying to divide country.

On top of that, Gabe was arrested and police also issued warrant against Daniel.

Zoon knew Daniel hadn't done anything but out of envy and hatred, she told police that he was also involved in this.

Daniel tried to contact her, hoping she would help him. He didn't want to accept the fact that she was the one who had accused him falsely but she completely avoided him.

Daniel felt helpless. He felt like he was all alone in this cruel world.

He knew his life was over.
Moreover, because of him many innocent people were killed. Thus he chose to end his life.

He realized that his love and trust for Zoon had killed him but he couldn't help it because after all this he still loved her.

PRESENT DAY:

Zoon lied to the officer that she had stolen pen drive from Daniel after he told her about his intention about killing the Prime minister.

Everyone believed her and she left the police station.

She decided to go to her psychiatrist. Today's  incident  had triggered un
wanted memories in her mind.

Suddenly, she started felling guilty as Daniel's innocent face appeared in her mind.

She was evil, she knew that. After all, she was Gabe's daughter who used people ruthlessly for his own gain.

She hated Gabe for being ruthlessly evil but at the end she had become a monster, just like him.
